As a fellow parent, and as a parent of a child who has needed forms of therapy, I can certainly appreciate the struggle of finding a therapist.  Cost is a huge factor, insurance coverage falls under cost, but can be the driving force behind a decision.  Location and convenience is also an important portion of a decision.  If it becomes too difficult to make appointments, then likelihood of continuity begins to affect progress.  And lastly, many parents make a decision based on recommendations from friends and fellow parents.

How does SAGE measure up when each of these issues are considered?

Let's look at cost.  This can be the most frustrating aspect of all, because Speech Therapy can be overlooked by most insurance plans, and therefore coverage just isn't there.  For this reason, SAGE will make efforts to help you file insurance and find coverage, using proper codes.  But, in the event that coverage isn't found, most families opt for area hospitals.  These hospitals are an amazing resource in Atlanta, but is it always cheapest?  Our graphic on this blog post shows that after a few sessions, hospital therapy coverage ends, and then their per-session rate skyrockets.  At this point, most families choose to leave their hospital provided therapist, and are back to square one.  SAGE offers a lower rate, that when considered across time, can be cheaper and allows for continuity with a specific therapist.  Having a single therapist can make a tremendous difference in success.  In this blog is a Cost Comparison Estimate Diagram, check there and call us before making your final decision!  Once cost of childcare, gas, and convenience are considered, hospital therapy oftens falls behind.
