The Lidcombe Program is a direct, behavioral program for stuttering therapy. It has the largest and strongest evidence base of all direct stuttering treatments for preschool aged children. This is the nature of stuttering. Oftentimes, stuttering can be worse day to day, week to week, or situation to situation. Do not wait more than 6 months to seek treatment, as the effectiveness of treatment goes down significantly the longer you wait. Take video of your child when they stutter, this will help your stuttering therapist during your first office visit.
