I am a masters level certified, full-time tutor who recently moved to Atlanta from Denver, and I have 10+ years of teaching experience as a special education teacher in Kindergarten through 8th grade. I am trained and certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support students with reading and literacy skills. Throughout my teaching experience in public and charter schools in Denver and Atlanta, I had the opportunity to teach small-group direct instruction in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
Additionally, I have been tutoring students outside the classroom setting in reading, writing, and math for the last 10 years too. Building relationships with my students, creating engaging lessons based upon their interests, and deepening their confidence is vital for continued growth and success for everyone, and fortunately, that is my true specialty!
